My newest Creation...A little Toddler

This is my newest creation!  She is a little toddler showing her teddy bear how to use the little potty!  She is about 6.5 inches tall, and all of her clothes are removable.  I made her a little teddy bear, eyelet lace onsie, a fresh water pearl bracelet, a jumper, added a pair of shoes and socks, and put her on a matching pillow to travel home to her new mommy!

Christmas Swap Baby

This is a little sweetie that went to live in Pennsylvania. She was a Christmas swap, and is one of my favorite creations. I never know how each little one will turn out, and they each have a personality of their own. I am learning as I go, and enjoy each one.

My Touring Baby is Coming Home

My little touring baby is on her way home from her visit with her Auntie Sue in Idaho! She got to visit with Sue's little traveling baby and share a cup of hot cocoa before she headed home.
Auntie Sue made her a special carriage, a blanket, a bottle, and a new friend to travel home with!
What a lucky little girl to have such a loving Auntie!
Thank you to Sue, Sherry, and Martha for making her journey such a special one! My heart is full of gratitude for the many wonderful people that I am so blessed to know and have in my life.

Chloe loves her Auntie Diane so much! She had a wonderful time in Pennsyvania, and was sad that she had to leave. She gave love and hugs, and waved goodbye as she continued her adventure. She is off to the home of her Auntie Sandra in South Carolina.

Chloe Kitten is My Traveling "Little One"

This is Chloe Kitten! She is my traveling "Little One" for Clay and Play. You can visit her and the other traveling "Little Ones" by clicking the link on the right side of my blog. I'm sorry that most of the pictures are sideways, and will try to get them straightened around. I don't know what is going on with my computer. Chloe is on her way to Michigan to see her "Auntie" Carolyn! She is such a lovey dove, and loves to snuggle. She purrs her hearts delight!

I sculpted her from FIMO and Sculpey clay, then sealed her with a varnish. The clay was very white until I sealed it, and then it turned a soft creme. I outlined her eyes in black acrylic, gave her a fluffy "Persian" tail, added some tufts of fur to the inside of her ears, and some whiskers to her little cheeks.

I looked it up to see if kitties had eyelashes (I always remembered mine having eyelashes :)...), and found that many do. They are usually the color of their fur. So, I found the lightest eyelashes I had and added them, and gave her a "minky" fabric body. I thought that was fun too, because we used to say that when our cat was "massaging" us they were "minkying" us...hehe.

Anyway, I was very pleased with the way she turned out, and can't wait to hear of her adventures with her "Aunties" around the USA and in Canada. Travel safely "Little One".

Chocolate Zucchini Bread

I wanted to share this delicious recipe that I found for Chocolate Zuccini Bread!! I hope you enjoy it...I can't leave it alone!

Chocolate Zucchini Bread {makes 2 loaves}
Recipe by Our Best Bites

2 C Flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 Cup + 2 Tbls unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 C canola oil
1 C granulated sugar
1/4 C brown sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 C sour cream
3 C grated zucchini
3/4 C mini chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet/Audrey)

Topping:
2 T brown sugar
2 T white sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour 2 loaf pans and set aside.
2. Mix topping ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
3. Place flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in a small bowl and whisk to combine. Set aside.
4. With a stand or hand mixer beat oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until combined and slightly full, 1-2 minutes.
5. Add vanilla and sour cream and mix until combined. Gently stir in the zucchini. Take a spoonful of the flour mixture and stir in with the chocolate chips (that will help keep them evenly distributed.) Stir remaining flour mixture into batter and mix just until combined. Add chocolate chips and stir to combine.
6. Divide the batter between the two pans and sprinkle topping over each.
7. Bake for 50-60 minutes. Set your timer for 45 minutes and then keep an eye on the loaves for the remaining time. When they're done, a toothpick or skewer should come out without goopy batter on it, and the tops will be gorgeous and cracked with sugar. Remove from oven and let them cool on a rack for 5-10 minutes and then remove from pans.

Here is an easy recipe for cold porcelain. I finally learned how to put it in my post so it is easy to find...many thanks to my friend Martha! I've tried to make it in a pan and found it frustrating as stoves vary. I would like to note that my microwave is a higher wattage so started with less time then mentioned in the video. I started with 30 seconds and did intervals of 15-20 until I got her consistency. Thank you for your patience! I hope you enjoy it! :)
